Giving Back to the Community
When you choose Hair by Hamid, you’re joining a community determined to do more.
We Believe that anything good starts with giving.
Here are a few of the key projects that we are passionate about and continue to support.
“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” — Theodore Roosevelt.
Hairdressing Apprenticeships
By employing an apprentice, we are helping to combat unemployment and build a future workforce.
Along side their TAFE training, Hamid invests time imparting his knowledge and skills, ensuring valuable ‘tricks of the trade’ are passed on to the future generation.
Our latest apprentice Brittany has now completed her apprenticeship and is a qualified hairdresser, under the mentorship of Hamid her skills continued to improve long after the official learning ended, she has now moved on to make a name for herself in the industry.

Haircuts for the Homeless
Riverview Community Services is the community care arm of Riverview Church. Through a number of different projects, they aim to help people recover from crisis, challenge & disadvantage, by providing practical assistance.
Once a month, Hamid gave his time free of charge at the Riverview Church in Joondalup. Since Hamid started it in 2019 he has done hundreds of free haircuts. This act of kindness has proven to be very popular with the folk in our community who are currently down on their luck. We thank the Riverview Church for allowing us to be part of this wonderful project. Unfortunately in 2022, this church closed and we were unable to continue providing this service to the community.
